Maureen Marks and Wendy Watts, from Ability Handling, took part in the recent 5 km Race for life event at Rotherham’s Herringthorpe Stadium on 18th July. Last year in Rotherham, 3,146 participants walked, jogged or ran the 5km event, which took place for the fourth time in the town and raised £154,536.
Organisers of this summer's 2010 Race for Life in Rotherham are delighted that the event smashed its target and Maureen and Wendy are Tickled Pink to have contributed by to this years total; raising over £1,000.00 for the Charity.
Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event. Last year up and down the country, 665,000 women walked, jogged or ran the 5km courses and raised £40 million pounds for Cancer Research UK.

Power Command Ltd of Rotherham had a problem, their old forklift truck had become unreliable and a replacement was required.
