Our growth has been exceptional, fed by a continuing investment in service engineers and their training, parts stock, workshops, hire fleet, IT and premises.

In addition to providing a comprehensive range of new equipment, we also supply rebuilt counterbalance trucks, reach trucks, sideloaders and pallet trucks.
A Brief History
Origins
Ability Handling was established in 1989 by Roger J. Hardman who for many years had been involved with the service and repair of agricultural machinery, contractors plant and transport. Roger was also employed for several years as Senior Engineer for Lancer Boss Liftrucks Limited.
Parkway Market Depot
The business, originally based in Parkway Wholesale Markets, specialises in the hire, sale and service of forktrucks and sideloaders. The Companies aim, to provide an economical and reliable service has ensured its success and growth.
Expansion
After only three years at the original site the company expanded into a second depot at Storage House, Acres Hill Lane, Sheffield.
Acres Hill Lane Depot
Owing to the acquisition of these more spacious workshops, it was possible to refurbish and overhaul larger machines and the business continued to expand.
Current Situation
Our main depot in Rotherham is conveniently situated close to the motorway network, enabling us to serve the whole of the North Derbyshire, North Notts and the whole of the Yorkshire area.

Our spacious workshop has the equipment and facilities required to refurbish or repair any size of truck. We are able to offer a rapid service response to breakdowns on customer sites and can offer replacement equipment if necessary.
